These projects serve national and cultural interests. Focused on the intersection of social justice, American history, and the arts, the Foundation seeks to expand the understanding of American history by bringing the stories of the nation's hidden musical figures to light. By sharing the contributions of the many outstanding underrepresented musicians, whose stories were intentionally eliminated from the American narrative, DGF is reclaiming an essential part of the American story.
